One ministry under the umbrella of the Path to Salvation Church is a children’s ministry that nurtures not only their bodies with food, but also their souls with the Word of God. Around 200+ children attend weekly and they share what they’ve learned with their families.
In the fall of 2019, Make Christ Known by Action (MCKBA aka the children’s feeding center ministry), partnered with a non-profit organization based in Minnesota to provide short-term mission teams an opportunity to serve the children. The first team visited the site in September 2019 and enjoyed singing worship songs with the children, created arts and crafts, shared a Biblical skit, and even helped corral the children to line up for their meal.
Every Saturday, the children each bring a bowl to the program and instead of eating the food themselves, several bring the food home to their families. In Haiti, people, including the children, share everything they have been given. Often times, the poor are the most generous.
Pray for this ministry and the precious souls it feeds. The feeding center program relies on donations to keep it running.
Another mission of our ministry is to provide a Christ-centered education to the children and youth of Haiti so that the cycle of poverty can be broken and dreams for a better future can be realized.
Our objectives are:
Our future goal is to create a community between the children and sponsors through letter writing and mission trip visits.
All children that are actively involved in our church community are eligible for the education sponsorship program. Once a child has been selected for the program, they must maintain consistent attendance in school and church.
There are many children within the community who are waiting sponsorship to attend school. Children are selected for sponsorship according to their family’s needs. PTS staff will be responsible for prioritizing the children to be sponsored and for monitoring their progress. Christian schools have been selected based on location, entrance requirements, and tuition costs.
Please consider sponsoring a child.
Path to Salvation Church was formed in Pastor Wesley's yard as a result of feeding the children of Haiti.
Funds raised have purchased land where an open air sanctuary has been constructed. Now, over 275 people attend church services there every Sunday morning. By the grace of God, hundreds have given their life’s to Christ.
Although only open for a few months, the open air sanctuary has seen numerous weddings, baptisms, and, during Holy Week, a Revival with guest pastors from neighboring churches.
During these dark times, in Haiti, people has been desperate for peace and security. God has been using this church to bring light, hope and salvation to so many!
Continued donations help to enhance this space where people of all ages are welcomed into an experience of worship, belonging, hope and discipleship.
